"Quite pleasant . Two bighorns led me up the whole way on the river mtn benchmark. The register on river mtn peak is not where peakery has it or where the coordinates in r&s have it . " — joshortman • Mar 6, 2023

"3.9.22~Red Mtn to The River Mtn Highpoint 6 peak/lump traverse/Jog. 6.7 miles, 2,100’ gain in 2:45hrs. I’m starting to come back to life from last weekend’s 48 mile virtual run event. Felt good to ridge surf & trail run. Weather was perfect. Breezes were divine. I haven’t done this traverse in 9 years. I love the sheep trail highways that lead the way." — paula.raimondi • Mar 9, 2022

"3.8.2021~2.5 miles, 700’ gain in 1:11hrs. This was a Recovery hike. I did the 48 mile David Goggins virtual 4x4x48 running event over the weekend and I finally feel a little better today. I haven’t been on the Black Mtn Summit in 9 years. Beautiful Day. Nice to be in the mountains. " — paula.raimondi • Mar 8, 2022

"11.25.21~Turkey Trot 2.0, mountaineer proper w/Autumn, Jimmy Jr. and Ed. Bench overlook & Red Mtn, 5.5 miles, 1,700’ gain in 2:25 hours. 40 degree morning windchill made this challenging but the kids powered through without a complaint. " — paula.raimondi • Nov 25, 2021

"7.12.2021~Black and Red Peaks Scamper w/Jimmy. 2.2 miles, 550 gain. 1st time out since I broke my pinky toe at home 4 days ago. I cut and modified my shoe to accommodate the toe and ease the pain. Not the greatest choice of terrain to introduce this healing fracture to the world but the pain is getting better. Felt good to finally leave the house and stop feeling sorry for myself. The sunset was amazing even with the heat and haze. 106 degrees at 7:30pm." — paula.raimondi • Jul 12, 2021

"1st time checking out the River Mountain Trail out of Boulder City. That view from the top ... imo is better than Hummel Peak, Frenchman and many others. Incredible 360 view of Lake Mead, Boulder City, Henderson, The Strip, Mt. Charleston & Red Rock Canyon.
Took a detour scramble down to the rock formations overlooking the trail (SE of summit) to observe a family of Bighorns (see photo).
Ran down the switchbacks on the decent ;)

"5.8.2020, Red Mtn & Bench Overlook with My Family and my kids BFF’s Family. 2.5 miles, 600’ gain at sunset. We invited them along on our hike. They have never been here so they loved the beauty of the area.

"4.13.2020. Scamper with Charlie Dog to the Bench Overlook & Red Mtn. 2.7 miles, 700’ gain. Terrific winds. Beautiful sunset. Went to the Hillbilly space ship but too much equipment to get to the true summit. " — paula.raimondi • Apr 13, 2020

"3.7.2020~Bench Overlook in the River Mtns the hard way. 5.5 miles, 1,400’ gain via the East Face w/ the 2 Jimmys. I introduced my Son to his 1st mountaineer route today and he took on the challenge like a pro. I was also lucky enough to run into @kasiecanepa and her pal along the way. I got to run and chat with them for a mile or so. The weather is sublime as we approach end of Winter and the arrival of Spring. Winds and Wildflowers were the theme on this glorious Morning trek.

"9.21.19. CCW Loop to the Bench Overlook via the East Face Mountaineer Route w @kasiecanepa Thank you for the invite. Love you times a million! 5.3 miles, 1,400’ gain. 1st workout post r2r2r on Tuesday (super unbelievable that that is my reality now!)...I’ve had major brain fog and my body was so sore. Today felt good. My knee had some pain when I ran downhill on the trails but I’m probably not fully recovered from the 11,000’ of Downhills in the Grand Canyon." — paula.raimondi • Sep 21, 2019
