Absolutely epic views along this challenging hike. Combined with Little House Mountain, you gain 3,100 feet of elevation over 10 1/2 miles. I would argue that these two out and back hikes should be considered one of the classics of Virginia hiking. Bonus: I had them both to myself this day as far as I know.
