"Took a slow BART T train east bound from Powell, stepped off at 3rd St and Le Conte and walked up Key Avenue to Bay View Hill. Meandered back via Bernal heights enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of various SF neighbourhoods, stopping for pizza in the cool Mexican Mission Districf. I’d planned something in the Marin hills today but they were cloaked in cloud coming rolling off the Pacific while it was sunny down Bayviiew direction. Two Peakery challenges completed in 4 days.

"Pleasant Sunday afternoon amble to compleat the San Francisco 7 Peak Challenge. Ate at Dotties (always good) then took the J train Muni Metro from Powell to Church & 30th. My walk went up the link steps to Bernal Heights then through quiet residential neighbourhoods to Visitacion Knob via Holly Park, Saint Mary’s Park, a footbridge over the I280 John F Foran freeway, Watertower View and Philosophers Way. Bernal and Watertower were fine viewpoints. After visiting Visitacion Knob pleasant descent paths went easily down towards San Bruno Ave where a number 9 bus got me back to Powell in about 40 minutes." — davidb • Nov 24, 2019
"Started from Precita Park and walked up Folsom street to Bernal Heights Park entrance. Followed road and the trail to the summit. There were a few parking spots at the Bernal park entrance but it looks like they go fast. Great views of San Francisco." — Zardoz • Jun 9, 2018
"First SF "peak" of the day in pursuit of the San Francisco 7 Peak Challenge. Awesome views from this impressive hill. Such a hot day (upper 80s), desert-like vegetation and browned-out fields. Perhaps rename it "Burning Heights"?" — scott • Jun 19, 2016
