"Started by the bridge/Jetty at Loch Earn. The track eventually gave way to path, this was mostly frozen solid, and quite treacherous. Further up the snow pack consolidated, and the going became better underfoot. To avoid this on the return we headed towards Glen Vorlich, lee of the wind it was knee deep snow in some places, then returned to our outward route once below the icy areas.
Squally wintery showers first thing, this calmed to generally favourable conditions until we reached the upper slopes, here the winds became very strong. " — adambarras • Nov 27, 2017
"Pam's last munro. A group of 13 of us aged from 14 - 66 started at Ardvorlich on Loch Earn, we went Glen Vorlich then onto the north ridge to the summit. The weather was ok in the valley, but very wet and windy on the summit, with alot of cloud. " — davidlong • Jun 18, 2011
"Cairngorm Club Meet, with two fellow members. From Callander on tarred narrow road to Braeleny, continuing on track to Arivurichardich. On to the col at NN637157 where we met a party from Dunblane Rambling Club. Ascended Aonach Gaineamhach to reach the summit of Stuc a’ Chroin. Two of us continued to Ben Vorlich. A fox was seen on the descent to Bealach an Dubh Choirein. Descended down the SE ridge a short way and then more or less straight for the col at NN637157. To Arivurichardich and Braeleny then down the road towards Callander. Given a welcome lift. Very warm and sunny all day." — peter43 • Aug 23, 1981
