"I got a second chance today to redeem my epic failure from a couple days ago. Left Glasgow at 0500 and got to the TH at about 0630. Then just about an hour to the top, 15-mins or so at the Geocache(Scotland's First - http://coord.info/GCF0 ), 30-mins back down the hillside to the dirt road and another 15-minutes back to the car. I had spent some time scouting things out this time and found a much better access route. My first failed attempt started when I saw a hiker coming down the hill right by the gate at the top of the windy dirt road. He said he was on the summit trail and that trail starts right by that gate. Today, I continued along the dirt road for another 1/2 mile or so to the western side of the mountain past the second stream coming down from the mountain. I started my ascent just past the 2nd such stream -- the one that (today at least) was running strongly enough to be loud at the road. Coords for this trailhead are included in this log. From there I just headed straight up directly to the cache. No real trail or anything. I kept to the right side of the stream by about 200-300 feet or so and basically followed it up the hillside. Very steep, but also very soft and sp..." — FlagMan • Jul 8, 2014

"With two friends. From a parking place near Allt Coire Chaorach. We followed a path SW to a forestry track. This forestry track was followed through the forest, ignoring grassy tracks on the left and then on the right. Just past a large turning area there is a cairn marking the start of a path, which we followed. This path is quite well made, but muddy. Once out of the forest we took a right fork and went up to a stile in a fence. We climbed the stile and went WNW keeping not too far from the fence. We reached the NE ridge of Ben More and followed it to the summit of Ben More. Continued over Stob Binnean, Meall na Dige and Stob Creagagh." — peter43 • Oct 19, 2007

"With friends. From Portnellan Lodge chalets, where we were staying, via Benmore Farm and straight up to Ben More. This was the last Munro on their second round for Geraldine Guest and Robin Howie so there were celebrations on the summit. We went on to Stob Binnein. Three of us continued to Stob Coire an Lochain and Meall na Dige. Contoured to the Ben More - Stob Binnein bealach and then down. Misty initially, but it cleared before we left Ben More. Windy. A little fresh snow on the summit of Ben More." — peter43 • Oct 20, 1984
