Left Yugar and headed west over Mt Glorious to avoid Brasbane traffic, south to Ipswich and on to Tenterfield. Drove up to the lookout at Mount MacKenzie to park. Walked up to the summit to activate VK2/NT-025, making 5 contacts. Drove back to Tenterfield, then south. Tried to find a route to a summit which looked good on the maps, but found locked gate and Private Property sign. Drove to Glen Innes and onwards towards Mount Rmbee. After looking for possible route, drove into a farm house and spoke to the property owners to seek permission to access the summit. permission was granted and I was shown the way to the top via farm tracks. Parked at the summit and walked to the trig. Set up the gear and activate VK2/NT-005, making 12 contacts. Drove back down the tracks to depart the summit. Headed to Ben Lomond and drove up to the locked gate below the summit. Walked up to the summit to activate VK2/NT-004, making 20 contacts. Packed up and returned to the sealed roads and headed to Narrabri for a late meal. Ended up driving to Mount Kaputar National Park to find a spot to camp for the night.
