"Parked At Upper Carriage Road
My 4th Hike In the Belknap Range, Hiked Belknap Mountain 2383ft ~
Went Up the Red Trail, which was a Leisurely Hike Up, Some Rocks, but nothing hard other than some Slippery Rocks from the Rain the Night before.
Went Up to the Fire Tower at the Summit.Got to climb up the Fire Tower and see some Incredible Views of the Mountains and the Lake!!!
And Then Went Down the White Trail - wasnt Hard, just some Slippery Rocks after the Rain the night before, and some Rocky parts nothing too Hard
On the Way Down the White Trail had a Really nice View of the Lake to Old Piper which had another awesome view of the Mountains, and continued the Hike Down Looped back Up to Upper Carriage Road.
And Went to Waynes Overlook which had a Nice View Of the Mountains Before Heading Back to the Car at the Upper Carriage Road Parking Lot!!!" — Rclara9 • Sep 1, 2024

"I Would Say Lower Carriage Road could use Better Signage Showing Belknap Mountain is up the Road. And When I got to the Carriage Road Area, I wasn't positive you could drive up it or where it led to. But then Realized you could drive up and it led to the Upper Carriage Road Parking Lot where the Belknap Trails are.
The White Trail is about Halfway Up and there's a Staircase, you can easily drive by it, not knowing.
I Attempted to Hike the Green Trail, until I came to an Overgrown Part that had me in a Circle and I couldn't figure out where the Trail Led... :( So I Hiked Back Down.
Then I Tried Going Up The Red Trail. The Red Trail was way easier to navigate, and was much more enjoyable.
I didn't get to Summit, but did get in a Mini Test Hike to Scope out a Mountain, Try out my New Hiking Poles, and see how my Feet Felt with Healing Blisters and make sure my Bruised Toenail could Handle a Hike ---- Both Did well!!! :) <3" — Rclara9 • Jul 4, 2024

"Meetup group hike. No snow except at the Gunstock ski area summit. Occasional ice patches easily bypassed. The recent firetower step reconstruction is completed and is in great shape! Good views despite the clouds." — SteveM_StickMan • Dec 23, 2023

"1.3 miles up the gunstock mountain trail to the summit. 1,200 elevation climb. Nice hike! Hard but steady and the trail was easy to follow. Not much of a summit but beautiful views walking around the ski area. Then took the trail to blue trail to belknap mountain which was moderate. The summit was very disappointing. No view! Maybe there is a decent view from the fire tower but it was under construction. Then white trail down the mountain to the parking area. " — HikingMomMC • Sep 21, 2023
"Great sunny day with a biting north wind. Once atop Belknap, we changed plans, instead of going over to Gunstock and into a bitter wind, we came down White and over to Piper. Lots of hidden ice floes under an inch of fresh powder. Needed spikes on the decent." — Alohabuffy • Dec 13, 2022

"Parked at lower Belknap forest lot off of Carriage rd. Trail on left for Gunstock mt, merge to saddle trail heading towards Belknap mt, white trail to merge on old piper trail, after summit, merge onto piper mt trail(red) loops back to parking lot. A wonderful loop of 3 summits, easy to follow and beautiful views. " — fbones • Oct 19, 2022

"A great day for a hike. Small showers moved in earlier, but the paths were largely dry. I went up clockwise from the parking area. It was very quick in order to beat the sunset. I wish I had more time in NH to enjoy things at a slower pace." — danielmartin • Jul 23, 2021
"Waited for the rain to stop, started out on Piper, very cloudy. But tons of blueberries lining the trail. Had to make several stops to load up. Down to Swett, had lunch on the summit. Back up to Piper and then over to Belknap, the big tower still in the clouds. Working on Redlining the Belknaps. Got back in the car, started raining." — Alohabuffy • Jul 17, 2021

"After hiking to Gunstock, I followed the BRT down through the col and up to the summit of this active fire tower/county high point. The occasional icy sections were easily bypassed using careful common sense (I didn't have micros). A clear sunny winter's day made my day! The Red Trail down to the closed pkg. lot road had a few inches more snow so there were hardly any icy patches :) My 12th NH Fire Tower summit. Just 3 more to go..." — SteveM_StickMan • Jan 10, 2021

"My sons first hike at 6 years old! Nice weather, blue skies, great views, very few hikers. Trails were wet and steep. My son slipped a few times. Overall decent hike. Took about 1 hour up and 1 hour down.
