"Cairngorm Club meet with three fellow members. We departed from the car park at the bottom of Cairngorm Chair Lift and ascended Fiacaill a’ Choire Chais and went on to Cairn Gorm. Down by Coire Raebeirt to Loch Avon and the Shelter Stone, and on to Stacan Dubha, SW Top of Beinn Mheadhoin, the NE Top and Stob Coire Etchachan. Then Beinn a’ Chaorainn, Beinn a’ Chaorainn Bheag, Beinn Bhrac W Top and E Top. Contoured to reach Glen Lui below Derry Lodge and on to Linn of Dee. One member descended separately from summit of Lairig an Laoigh along the Lairig an Laoigh track. Early rain and mist, then gradually getting better." — peter43 • Sep 12, 1981
"With Jonathan Bellarby. From Allanaquoich. We walked on the east side of Quoich Water for 1½ miles, over a precarious bridge and then on the west side. We reached the track end at NO083964 and went up beside a burn to the South Top of Beinn a’ Bhuird, A’ Chioch, the North Top of Beinn a’ Bhuird, and Cnap a’ Chléirich. Went on to the SW Top of Ben Avon and Leabaidh an Daimh Bhuidhe. Went back to take in Stob an t’ Sluichd and the W and E tops of Beinn Bhreac. Weather fine. Good views." — peter43 • Jul 29, 1981
