"Aside from the slushy trail conditions, it was a great day to hike up Bare Hill. The sun was out in full force and temperatures were fairly comfortable for the first week of March.
It was a fairly straight-forward walk up the wide trail leading to Council Rock. From there, I walked a short distance into the thorn-filled woods in order to stand at the official summit. Nothing to see here. The best views of Canandaigua Lake below can be found on the main trails.
This would be the perfect relocation candidate for a restored firetower. The views of Canandaigua Lake would be incredible from 50+ feet higher, and the sunsets would be out of this world! Bare Hill would instantly become a top hiking destination and tourist attraction in the Finger Lakes region with a lookout tower on top. " — theascent • Mar 7, 2020
