"Climbed The Three T’s and an assortment of peaks along the trail. Did the hike as an out and back hike beginning and ending at the Baldy Notch ski lift parking lot. This is also the first time I did all three “T’s” on the same hike. A long day on the trail." — MikeTeeples • Jun 13, 2021

"I started at 8 am at Manker Flats. I hiked on the paved road till it turned into gravel. I followed the gravel part up to Baldy Notch. There I found some snow but not a lot. I crossed a bit of snow to get to the start of the Devil's Backbone Trail. The snow was getting thicker the farther I went. I climbed Mt Harwood on the way to Baldy because I chose the wrong route. I took the switchbacks to the summit of Baldy. There was a ton of people on the summit. I hiked down the Ski Hut/ Baldy Bowl Tr. The pines were getting thicker the farther I went down. "What a fun day! We drove down from Vegas after work on Thursday, getting to the Manker Flats campground a little after 8pm. We set up camp and tried to get some sleep, but the campground was so noisy, we only got a few hours before our 2am wakeup. We were on the trail a little after 3am to beat the crowds. Following Icehouse Canyon up, we reached the saddle around sunrise and took a short break. We continued on to Timber Mountain, Smetana Hill, Rees Point, Telegraph Peak, Thunder Mountain, Gold Ridge and finally Baldy Notch. We thought about hiking the trail back down, but the allure of the gondola was too great. We enjoyed a nice ride down the gondola, but we still had to hike a few more miles down the road to get back to our vehicle at Icehouse Canyon Trailhead. A wonderful young fellow saved us our last mile or so by asking if we wanted a ride.
(the road hike was not included in our GPS track). It was a tiring, but extremely rewarding day!" — Kevin • Jul 24, 2020

"Today was the Annual Climb For Heroes hike up Mount Baldy. Due to an injury that I was still recovering from I was only able to make it up to the Notch. I guess a little is better than nothing" — Philip-Yoho • May 19, 2019

"Great climb up Bear Canyon. A step 6.5 mile hike from Baldy Village to Mount Baldy with just about 6,000 feet in elevation gain. Of course we had to take a few detours in route, to visit West Baldy and then Mount Harwood before descending via the Devil's Backbone Trail to the Notch. " — Philip-Yoho • Jul 21, 2018

"I could think of no better way than to spend my veterans day then up on a mountain (or three). I joined my friends from Hike beyond the Hills today. We staged cars at Manker Flat and then carpooled back down to Icehouse Canyon Trailhead where we began our hike. We hike dup the canyon to Icehouse Saddle and then headed north to summit the 3T's (Timber, Telegraph and Thunder Mountains). After our successful summits we headed to the Notch for a well earned meal and beverage. After that, we still had a few miles left to make it back to or cars. " — Philip-Yoho • Nov 11, 2017

"Great hike today. We started at Manker Flat, hiked up to the Notch and then to Thunder Mountain and Telegraph Peak. On our way back, of course, we stopped at the Notch for lunch then headed back down to Manker Flat. " — Philip-Yoho • Nov 13, 2016
