"Trailhead access by canoe from the Indian Lake campground. The ride there was calm. The hike is relatively straightforward with a rewarding view of Indian Lake. The canoe ride back to our campsite on Indian Lake was quite choppy. " — Jaando • Aug 19, 2019
"This hike is accessible by water only. We launched from the Marina across the lake which was about 1 mile from the trail head. The lake was pretty choppy and we had some whitecaps coming over the kayaks but the paddle was great. We landed on an island for some exploring first and then headed a little north to Normans Cove to find the trail head.

The trail head is marked by a large 'O' on a rock just to the right of the small beach area where the trail head is. Once on land it is a short 1.1 mile hike up a well marked trail with relatively gentle topo until the last 0.25 miles where it steepens a bit but nothing too strenuous. The summit is a large open rock area with lots of room to enjoy the views of Indian Lake and Snowy Mountain beyond. Excellent day for a hike/paddle combo." — deb-and-rob • Jul 22, 2014
"Have done this hike at least 3 or 4 times - always a spectacular view for little effort. The bottom of the trail can be a bit buggy and wet but the upper part is nice and piney." — Gregrog • Jul 18, 2014
