"A total random hike. Just decided to drive into Marlow after getting amazing fresh spring water in Gilsum. Noticed this hill from rt.10, thought it might be fun. Pulled into the elemenrty school because it looked close to the base. Wondered around and noticed trails heading in the right direction. Went back to the car to gear up, when a teacher came out just in time for me to ask about the trails, which in fact, turned out to be a short and fun hike. Decent views from a few spots and some very nice rock chairs to relax in for a while at the summit." — mikezilla • Jun 27, 2013
"This hike was longer than it needed to be, but a great adventure as well. We hiked in from the school on old snowmobile trails & then bushwhacked northeast until we came upon the Sands Trail (very well marked) & hiked that to the summit. Descent views to the southwest if you hike out to the ledges. Sands & McIntire trail heads can be found on 123 near the intersection with Rt 10, in Marlow, New Hampshire. " — VonSelmer • Aug 8, 2011
