"A nice chilly hike with Maryellen, Eric, Duncan, Carolynn, Diana, and Debbie. Gradual elevation gain up an oak leaf red disc trail. Did the 9.5 mile loop on all trails. Some beaver activity and cool rock chairs around a campfire. Some stone steps." — lfrancois • Dec 4, 2022
"A twosie of Friday and Balsam Cap from Moonhaw PA in the AM then headed further up Peekamoose road to hit Ashokan HP in the afternoon. Nice blue sky in the morning that slowly transitioned to fully overcast by late afternoon with light sprinkles falling. The warmer temps brought out the black flies." — Nimblefoot • May 20, 2022
"Red lined the whole trail doing the lower part of the loop first. The first part of the loop was a bit tight so with everything soaking wet form last nights rain I felt like I was going through a car wash without the car. There were numerous spots that could use some maintenance so one doesn’t have to duck and weave. Dropped down and out to the cobble for the view and a lunch break until the bugs encouraged me to head back up. There was a few blueberries already ripe but the majority were still green......go back next month." — Nimblefoot • Jul 23, 2020
"A quick hike up to the high point without heading out to the knob in front of the summit. Packed trail was uneven and pot-holey do to all the barebooters over the past month or two. Still one of the best hikes in the Cats." — Nimblefoot • Mar 10, 2014
