"Another fun area to play close to Madrid. 7 Picos how the name says it is a route where you can climb 7 peaks. They all like big rock piles, so you have to scramble to the top of them. I did them in reverse, starting with #7, which is the tallest. The only one I couldn’t climb is #4 which has a big boulder on top and an anchor for a 1-pitch rock climbing move. I jumped as high as I could to reach the top 😂…
The trail is very rocky; basically you are rock hopping the whole way and jog on the easier parts. On the way back I wanted to do a different route, one that is more runnable, but as usual, I chose one of those rarely used trails and I ended up getting into more scrambling and less running. Today my “compass” didn’t work too good, so I got lost plenty of times🙈, but that made it more adventurous.
Celebrated the end of the run with a pincho: café con leche y tortilla española, never disappoints.😄" — nandorszotak • Aug 20, 2025
"A beautiful mountain we have climbed in La Sierra de Guadarrama, it has views towards La Meseta Sur and La Meseta Norte. The Sendero Herreros brings us to an antecima with a sculpture on the summit, but we must continue to El Alto del Telégrafo passing by granites rock formations
very interesting.
Besides cows we have seen some snake sunbathing.
Upon returning we have stopped in the Boca de Asno area to enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Eresma River." — franciscobirruezo • Jul 25, 2018
