"Great day to be out! Took the yellow trail up and red trail down. It's been a bit since I've climbed anything higher than 1000', so i found it a bit challenging. The views are great coming up yellow trail and also at the summit. There's no real marker to speak of at the top. Just one rock. If you continue past that, there seems to be the remnants of a trail that leads toward Black Mt. The blazes were all really old though and it seems like its not in use anymore. I followed it for awhile, but then gave up and went back. Red trail down was a cinch." — mikewilliamsjr • May 24, 2022
"Great day for a hike. Snow squalls, rain showers, blue sky and sunshine. We had it all. Some snow on the trail but nothing too bad. I did sink up to my hip in snow on the red trail, (that came as a big surprise). We followed trail #1 until just short of the summit. We took a left out on to the trail where Trail #2 meets one. We then followed a red blazed trail back to trail one on the ledges. The red blazed trail offers a nice veiw of the summit. We came back down trail one. No wildlife to be seen today just some coyote scat on the top of the mountain." — bwright • Apr 14, 2013
"A great day for a hike. Today I took my baby boomers hiking Rumford White Cap. The group ranged in age from 57 to 23. The hike is an easy with no real challenges. The trail to the summit is about 2 miles. The views are fantastic. This is a very rewarding hike. Rumford White Cap is not a tall mountain by any means but the views go on forever." — bwright • Aug 4, 2012
