Took my two eldest kids and their friend up this peak on a cold November day. I was surprised to find a decent use trail up the peak, with large cairns guiding the way. Also found a radio repeater belonging to a nearby youth rehab company on the summit. Pretty rugged peak, but requires only a touch of class 2 scrambling on the summit ridge. Very remote peak -- I happen to live 20 miles away, so it wasn't too far for me. The road (FR 002) is rough in spots, high clearance vehicle needed, but deposits one at the very base of the mountain. According to my GPS, it was 1.4 miles one-way, with just under 1000 feet of elevation gain.
