"Drove over to Woodall Mtn. to repair a bench at the summit. The legs had rusted and the bench was on the ground. After dismantling the bench, I took it into town to clean it up then brought it back to the summit to reassemble it with stand alone legs. While at the summit I used a shovel to dig the mud from around one of the reference markers so it would visible again. While doing a litter clean up I finally ran across the other triangulation station that I had missed several years ago. I put a new logbook in the register box and gave the old ones to Tishomingo Tourism in Iuka who keeps track of them. Also spoke with the director who is planning improvements at the summit. I offered our help with funding and providing a kiosk or signage through our Highpointers Foundation etc. " — StoneMan • Mar 28, 2024
"Stopped by to do a little clean up on the way up the road and around the summit. There was very little litter this time compared to previous years. Picked up several full logbooks for the Highpointers Club archives and left a new one. Met another Highpointer on the summit and we talked for over an hour about our experiences n other mountains and interest in state highpoints." — StoneMan • Jul 7, 2022
"Drove up the dirt road and made it to the radio/cell tower area where I walked a bit to the rock at the summit. It is tree covered but there's a slight view from the power lines that cleared some trees. From this small vantage, the view helps bolster this summit's feeling of being a true high point. "Drove up Woodall today to pick up litter on the road and around the summit before heading home. The county usually mows and does a clean up but it looks like it's been awhile since they were up there so I figured I could help them out." — StoneMan • May 28, 2021
"Headed up Woodall to replace the mailbox register and add a new logbook. Also put new logo decals on the Highpointers Club road sign at the base of the mountain since the originals had faded. Spent most of the day at the summit talking with locals and a few highpointers that showed up." — StoneMan • May 27, 2021
