"A great, long day in the mountains with close to 20 miles covered in a roundtrip up to a remote peak I have been wanting to do for some time. Watchtower Peak is in the wild wilderness of the West Fork of the Bitterroot, and sees very little traffic. The peaks are tucked away, with long approach miles and remote trailheads. Had climbed Mt. Jerusalem many years ago and saw this peak from the top -- great to get up there on a beautiful late summer day in Montana!" — MarmotHead • Sep 9, 2023

"Utilized the Williams Fork drainage to access the NW ridge of the peak off-trail. Most remote area of the Great Burn Proposed Wilderness of Montana and Idaho. Rugged country, wild views, and no people." — MarmotHead • Jun 30, 2023
"There is traditionally a 'crux' near the 10000 pt on the ridge. Descending down to 9.8k removes the '3+' scrambling that the route is known for. I am pretty sure a 3ish route could be found but I decided to just avoid it since I was solo." — Irrationalist • Sep 17, 2022
"Jeeping into Uncle Ike guarantees that your car will be hit by branch and shaken violently by a rough road. Honestly, that is the hardest part.
This route sports fairly easy terrain, and minimal 3rd class scrambling." — Irrationalist • Aug 20, 2022
