"We ended up summiting 3 times, would recommend monte rose to Dublin to summit to townline to bald rock to only summit twice. Townline and Dublin are a bit obscure and unmarked." — stephanierandall • Nov 21, 2020
"Climbed up Mount Monadnock and visited the four sub-peaks surrounding it. Nice big loop hike with plenty of variety and tons of ice. From Modanock Summit, out and back to Town Line Peak via Pumpelly Trail." — wacbravo • Jan 26, 2019
"My 4th peak of the day. Crested the Grand Monadnock peak 3 times on my way to completing the Monadnock 5 Peak Challenge (8.15 miles). Then I drove to nearby Pack Monadnock and completed all 3 Peaks there (7.5 miles). I called it the 1 Day / Monadnock 8 Peak Challenge. " — garydavidsonruns • Jul 16, 2017
"First real expedition in search of the hard to get to and secret "Pumpelly cave". Bushwhacked all the way from the cascade link/pumpelly junction, all along the lower ridge on the south eastern shoulder. Found some amazing rock outcrops along the thick bush under town line peak. Finally found it! Around 4 pm and starting the bushwhack around noon. Not an easy place to get to!! My friend opened the door and we went inside to find many cool things, sign in book, binnoculars, guitar, insense sticks, Grateful Dead "stealie" sticker and old pictures. Amazing time finding this lost gem! From the cave is a rock climb to town line peak and then back down on the "slippery when wet"spellman trail and back to birchtoft to complete the 5.7 mile loop." — mikezilla • May 10, 2012
"My 7th time on this peak, & my third time actively searching for the Pumpelly Cave. Third times a charm as they say & I was very happy to finally find it. Built in the world war 2 era this shelter is no longer marked on any current maps, park rangers are instructed not to reveal it's location. It is a treasure waiting to be found by any person willing to do a bit of research & bushwhacking for a bit of tangible history. Good luck. " — VonSelmer • Mar 12, 2012
