"Nice warm beautiful spring day. The snow is gone here in SW New Hampshire. Pulled a loop up Thumb and over to Skatutakee. Nice views South and East from the ledges on both summits. Really cool carvings along the trail. " — Alohabuffy • Mar 27, 2021
"Beautiful late winter day with several inches of frozen snow on the trail. Microspikes necessary but all in all the trail was in great shape. Looped up Skatutakee and over to Thumb Mountain." — goshen-bagger • Mar 4, 2018
"Most of the leaves were down on the Harriskat Trail, but the blazes were still easy to follow. There were a few hidden wet and soggy spots underneath the leaves, as well as several puddles of standing water. However, overall trail seemed to be in pretty good shape. The view was nice from the top." — HikeLikeMike • Oct 31, 2015
"First time I've ever gotten lost on a trail. There'd been a great deal of rain the week before, which took down some of the blazed trees. It was a little scary at first (hey, I was new to hiking and I was alone) but I'd told people where I was going to be and when to expect me back, and I was able to find the way back to the trail eventually. After this adventure, I bought a couple of portable cell phone chargers, just in case. Anyway, this is a beautiful trail with decent views of Mount Monadnock and the Pack Monadnocks. (The views from Thumb Mountain, which shares a ridge with Skatutakee, are better.)" — RSperling • Oct 25, 2014
