Base camped in Hidden Valley at 9300 ft. left out around 5:30 am up Cascade Gulch to Shastina Saddle, summited Shastina @ 8:45, dropped back to the saddle then climbed Whitney Glacier to traverse over to below Misery Hill and summited Shasta @12:45, dropped down Avalanche Gulch route to just above Lake Helen. Cut over Casaval Ridge back into Hidden Valley and glissaded back to camp by 3:00. Huge loop day with lots of vertical gain and loss, but very worth it. Weather was perfectly clear and slight wind in the morning
