"From Harrow Head and Gill Beck to the summit of Buckbarrow, then a long grassy slog up the south flank of Seatallan to its summit plateau. We then descended steeply to the col with Middle Fell. Passing by the tarn on its boggy shores we took the rugged eroded path down Greendale to the road and back to the car. With RP and BC. Thick grey cloud most of the time, with a few brief sunny patches. No rain, fortunately." — marktrengove2 • Aug 7, 2019
"Day 4 of a holiday based at Santon bridge. Fine sunny morning, set off from Greendale farm near Wastwater, to the summit of Middle Fell Good views on top, with the full extent of Wastwater screes revealed and a clear view of Scafell Pikes, Mickledore and Scafell. After spending some time on the summit, we descended the N ridge to a boggy area at 465m, north of Greendale tarn, the views were excellent throughout. Here we continued N for another 1.5Km to High Pikehow on the lower slopes of Haycock, but decided as time was pressing, we would head SW to the summit of Seatallan 693m. This was a steep grass ascent, with a flat summit, again, goodviews of the major Lake District peaks and the Irish sea to the West. After spending some time on the summit, we then descended via the lower peaks of Glade How and Buckbarrow and then back to the road for a mile walk back to our start point." — davidlong • Sep 5, 2018
