"Our first time north of Acadia & this hike did not disappoint. The views back towards Acadia from the bald summit were amazing.
We turned the hike into a loop by going down to the lake & then back to the car." — billsussdorff • Jun 12, 2015
"Took this hike on our first camping trip of the year. We were camping on Schoodic Beach. It was a nice second hike up as the first time was 92 degrees. Enjoyable hike. Noticed the new windmills in the distance that weren't there last time. It ruins the views if you ask me. A nice view of MDI, but a bit hazy. " — ndewitt84 • Apr 15, 2013
"First camping trip of the year we hiked Catherine Mountain in the morning and did a quick hike from our site in the afternoon up Schoodic. A great steep hike with amazing views of Acadia National Park. Less hazy this time of the year but the summit was extremely windy and cold from the ocean air. Beautiful Spring Hike! "Great day for a hike. 24 degrees when we parked the van and it was 42 when we returned. The sky was beautiful and the sun was warm. While on top of the mountain I found out I have a brand new niece. Welcome Penelope Quinn Wright-Hodgins. I think I'll go buy her a pair of hiking boots. " — bwright • Nov 18, 2012
"Great short hike after camping at Donnell Pond. Short but steep, rather strenuous on a 93 degree day! Well worth it knowing you can swim when you return! Great friends on the trip too!" — tvanrosendael • Jul 14, 2012
"Organized a camping trip to Donnell Pond with a few friends. Decided to go on this hike as it was the shortest one it listed in the area from where we were camping. It was 92 degrees so figured it would be the quickest and easiest, didn't realize how steep it was until we got half way up. " — ndewitt84 • Jul 14, 2012
