I went to Sand Mountain to photograph a trailer. I hiked up the sandy hill from the North, I believe; it's about 800 feet high. There were two hot rod cars speeding around the hill and out into the desert. They were quite loud. As I reached the summit, the sun began to set and the wind really picked up. I had my trusty camera, and there were only a few moments of daylight left, but I managed to walk around changing lenses in the wind, hoping to get a good vantage point of the sunset, Sand Mountain, and the vast sand dunes to the West and South.
