This was the quietiest place I have ever been to. There wasn't a sound, no birds, insects, cars, planes, lawnmowers, etc. It was so quiet it kind of hurt my ears.

Not sure if we made it to the very tippy top but we went at least as far at the frozen waterfall, October, mid 1990s. It didn't seem all that cold but I just about got hypothermia. By the time we got back to the car, I could hardly get my hands to work.
