"Nice fairly easy hike. Pretty steep right at the beginning, but then levels out for the majority of the trek. Comes to a great overlook that looks down the lakes, with Pleasant Mountain off the the right. If you go on a little further from there you reach a summit area. To the right of that, through the trees, there are some big boulders that the kids loved to play on. They were easy to climb, and even had a little "cave" under them to go through. They would have kept us up there all day if they had had their way. Good family hike. " — mikewilliamsjr • Oct 15, 2016
"Beautiful day for a hike. Trailhead can be a little hard to see from the road; look for area on the west side of the road with cleared gravel; there's room for four cars or so there. Trail is in excellent condition with exposed stone and hard-packed dirt for most of its length. Had great views today of Keoka Lake and Pleasant Mountain (you can see the lines where the ski runs are for Shawnee Peak there). Not a long hike to the summit, but rather steep for a hill of its size, especially the first third or so. " — Badgerinmaine • Oct 4, 2013
"Headed to New Hampshire and decided we should give our legs a little strech. We parked at the church, hiked a short way up the road, and turned left on the trail. A nice little mountain. A good starter to get us limbered up for a long weekend in the White Mountains. " — bwright • May 23, 2013
