"Hot day! Trail nearly empty (only saw one other group). Much better visibility compared to Ellinor earlier this week. Trail goes straight up, but is super well maintained. Nice views of Lake Cushman from the summit. Fun hike. " — andrewmadsen • Aug 11, 2021
"A very steep hike up one of the less traveled peaks in the Olympics. Overall rating 6/10, good training but no views except for the summit, which was deep in a cloud on that day" — MountainQuest • Aug 22, 2019
"Not feeling like trudging through snow on the higher peaks, I decided to finally head up the Mount Rose trail. I was pleasantly surprised by the views up top. First off-leash hike for Jed the Mountain Dog--he did great." — TynanRammGranberg • Nov 12, 2018
"Perfect day for a hike. Trail is in great condition. Hit patchy snow at 3500 ft. Solid packed snow at 3800ft Not enough to worry about easy enough to navigate without chains.
