"Hiked from Sandwich notch road over four peaks! Was a beautiful day and foliage was good, missing a lot of red now. Some nice views along the way over Doublehead and Squam mount, and the ridge. Percival and Morgan were busy but not as bad as could have been, and the views were great. " — blackwolf_03278 • Oct 8, 2020
"Nora and I took Kali and Brooklyn up the Mt. Percival Trail to the summit of Mt Percival, then across to Mt Morgan.
It was a beautiful sunny day. On Mt Percival, after climbing up top the caves, we decided it was too narrow to wear our backpacks and steer the dogs, so, we turned around and took the cliff trail to the summit. Mt Percival had absolutely gorgeous views of the Lakes.
Mt Morgan had gorgeous views at the viewpoint, very near the summit, but the actual summit, just across the main trail and maybe 0.1 mi up, had very limited views.
On the way down from Mt Morgan, we stayed on the main trail, avoiding the ladder on that cliff trail, because it seemed too hard to manage with the dogs.
Everyone we met was going the opposite way from how we went, but I'm glad we did it the way we did because the Mt. Percival trail was very interesting and rolling for ascending, while the Mt Morgan trail on the way down seemed relentlessly moderate, which would have been annoying going up." — Hufflepuff • Jul 31, 2020
"A Crawford Ridgepole traverse with Sarah H. Our fourth peak so far. We dropped our packs and went down the cliffs trail, then came up the caves trail. Still some ice in there. Lots of fun." — newenglandwarrior • May 11, 2018
"This was my first summit in a loop over Percival and Morgan. The first half was easy and then the steep ascent was made a little more interesting with all of the foliage blanketing the trail. A few of the blazes on the Percival Trail were tough to find along the way but I never got too far off track. I somehow actually scrambled over the cave instead of going through it, but it was still a fun final climb to the top with a great view as a reward." — HikeLikeMike • Nov 8, 2015
"The views from Mount Percival were pretty incredible. I am lucky to have had the unintentional trail companion who helped me down the Mount Percival cliff trail from the summit. It was nuts! That was the first time I've had to squeeze through rocks and go through caves while on a trail. A lot of fun, and a little scary (more so if I had been alone, that's for sure!) But a great opportunity to gain some (much needed) trail experience.

"Did a loop with Percival and Morgan with Percival our first stop. Incline was steeper than we had originally anticipated but the caves and view were worth the effort. Caves are the coolest thing I have seen/hiked yet while hiking...glad we made the detour and brought our camera!" — KDRupert3 • Jun 24, 2012
