day hike, easy to top of Edith. difficult if one does edith and baldy in same day -- came up cabin gulch road and then took a mining road up to about the 7,000 foot level; parked by an old cabin and logging works; took well defined trail to saddle, then cut right up talus slope to top. also, walked ridge about 2 miles to look at Mt. Baldy, ran into mountain goats.
