Manaslu
Manaslu is the 8th highest mountain in the world and one of the 14 8,000 meter peaks (8,156 meters). It is located in the Mansiri Himal, part of the Nepalese Himalayas in the west-central part of Nepal. Its name means "Mountain of the Spirit". Manaslu's long ridges and valley glaciers offer feasible approaches from all directions and culminate in a signature peak that towers steeply above the surrounding landscape and is visible from afar. Manaslu is about forty miles east of fellow 8,000 meter peak Annapurna.
