"10.6.2021~The full East to West Knife Peak Ridge Traverse. 3 miles, 1,300’ gain, 4 peaks. Knife Peak East, Knife Peak, 2,458’ & Citadel Peak. While the peaks and views were spectacular, the real star of the show is the ridge traverse. Citadel Peak (Named by me) was spectacular. I noticed its towering prominence from afar. I did a short-ish, exposed, class 3 ledge descent off of it for a finale. It was fun spending the last week out here appreciating the slabs, peaks, ridges and majestic scenery. I had an overachieving approach to theses beauties on the edge of the Muddy Wilderness off West End Wash Road. The same herd of Bighorn Sheep I’ve been seeing all week greeted me in the morning and bid me farewell when I finished. I’ll miss them.

"Drove out West End Wash & parked at a wash that runs directly west toward the peak. Went up a steep loose gully on the south slope & just to the west of the summit. It was a fairly quick climb up. I'll have to come back for Slabs when my shoulder heals." — StudioHoodoo • Nov 15, 2020
"We parked just off of Northshore Road and hiked the dirt road that runs between Slabs Peak and Knife Peak as a warmup. Once past the 2 mountains, we turned back and started up Slabs Peak from the NW. There was a lot of horrible talus, but we eventually made the ridgeline, which immediately turned into a knife-edge. We followed for a ways, but got to a spot that none of us really felt comfortable with, about 1000 linear feet from the summit. To pass, it would have required a super sketchy exposed traverse of a featureless flake, which none of us were up for today. We descended pretty much the same way we came up, then made our way to the north side of Knife Peak, looking for a non-technical way to the obvious saddle. We found one that worked and made our way up. Nothing terribly difficult, but it was loose and steep. Once at the summit, we had a snack and came down the south side, which was trickier than it looked from the top." — Kevin • Dec 10, 2017
