"Took the north western route up past Morter Alm, through Blaue Schneid and up to the Summit. The trail was incredibly well graded. We followed a stream until just before the final assent up to Blaue Schneid, giving us lots of places to refill water. The alpine meadows were stunning, our favorite part of the hike. The final mile between Blaue Schneid and Hasenohrl was narrow with a lot of rock scrambles and cliffs on both sides. There were areas that had chain handrails screwed to the rocks to help get through. The final peak was overcast, but we still got some views down. There is an Alpine cross and log book at the summit. Best hike I’ve ever done so far. " — j-mulligan • Jul 23, 2023

"1/2 days with an overnight stay at Similaunhütte. As we had some spare time, we decided to climb Finailspitze. Following our GPX track (from outdooractive) we ascended via the north face. Turns out, this ascent route is sparsely marked and features some II-III scrambling. The descent via the eastern ridge was much easier to follow." — TheTMan • Jul 12, 2022
"Like the day before, we encountered very frequent weather changes and low visibility. This route featured major patches of old snow and fresh snow cover from around 2700m upwards. We managed to make around 2/3 of the route as well as the summit before it started raining/snowing again. Again, no major technical challenges in this summit, but the weather conditions added some strain. About 5 hrs into we ran into the first other person. 5/5 would do again!" — TheTMan • Jul 16, 2021
"Went from Fane Alm via Brixener Hütte hut, where we stayed overnight. Overcast conditions, every couple hours light rain. Decided to push for the summit when a dry window opened up around noon.
Snow from 2700m onwards, and low visibility gave this technically easy hike a real adventerous feeling." — TheTMan • Jul 15, 2021
