"Parked the car at Reedsford by the gate to the white house (carpark was for private estate use only). Followed official footpath towards the white house and then up north just before the house. Followed the fence northwards to avoid the gorse and then ascended very steeply the west side of the hill. Near the summit followed an animal path around to the south side of the false summit. Paused to take some photos and proceeded across the false summit up to the top. Found a stone from the remains of the small cairn that was once here, and rebuilt the cairn with stones I found near the summit (it might need checking with gps - I went off my map and the two stones I found there). I then went over to the alternative summit by the wood and found another ruined cairn on the edge of the wood but on the wrong side of a new looking fence which I left alone. Cracking views of the College Valley, the Cheviot and the Eildon Hills (although my camera couldn't pick those up). " — NorthernWayfarer • Feb 7, 2017
"A short walk to this small peak, that is a northerly outlyer to the Cheviot Hills. The walk was made longer by a detour as the bridge over the river had been destroyed by earlier floods and the remains of it left on the riverbank. Access to the hill was eventually gained from Reedsford, via a steep ascent initially through meadows full of lively cattle and bullocks." — davidlong • Jul 29, 2012
