"Since I was in the area after visiting Johnstone Peak, I took the short drive up Glendora Mountain Rd and revisited Glendora Mountain. The firebreak is overgrown, but long pants came in handy." — MikeTeeples • Apr 30, 2022
"I parked at a turnout which allowed me to take a use trail to the firebreak. The firebreak is rather overgrown, but a generally easy to follow use trail is worn into it by other hikers. I was happy that I wore long pants on this hike because the low brush was constantly brushing my shins. With the exception of finding the best route through the brush, the ascent was relatively easy with great views into Azusa Canyon and the many other nearby peaks. A cross once stood on the summit, but it had apparently blown over during a wind storm. I hung around for a little while enjoying the views and the solitude before returning along the same route." — MikeTeeples • Nov 4, 2017
"I did not expect to enjoy this gimme peak as much as I did. Despite taking 20 minutes to get to the summit from the road, this peak had unobstructed 360 views of the Baldy area, Hawkins Ridge, Twin Peaks and Monrovia peak, along with the entire LA Basin. If there was somewhere to sit, I could have stayed up there all day. Not a bad backup peak after my bushwack up Silver and Pine took too long." — Christopher • Nov 10, 2012
