"Very similar to 5 arch except a little easier I thought . Valley of fire bad 3 great peaks makes me want to come back and tackle the valley of fire peak challenge another weekend . Not a soul on any of these hikes either . Be careful with loose rock though I did loose hand holds and feet holds on all three of the hikes at some point . " — joshortman • Nov 7, 2022
"This was my last peak for the Las Vegas 100 Peak Challenge!! Big thanks to Harlan for scouting out the route! This one had a bit of exposure, but our route wasn’t any harder than class 3. We brought webbing, ropes, harnesses, etc., but didn’t need any of it. The views were awesome & we had great weather. The sandstone in VOF isn’t as good as Red Rock, but the route and scrambling were still fun. Thanks to Harlan for leading the way & to Erica for joining us!" — Kevin • Dec 11, 2021
"Great day on Crimson Staircase with Kevin and Erica. I was there 4 weeks back, largely following Rich Hensley's gpx track. After reading 5 trip reports, I conclude most took different routes!" — hwstock • Dec 11, 2021
"First, the picture shown for this peak as of 11/26/2021 is incorrect; it is not near any paved road.
The route is short, some class 3 or 3+ with exposure, and a navigation challenge with crappy rock.

"First, I'm pretty sure the image shown for this peak, as of 11/26/2021, is incorrect; the peak is not near any paved road.
I've read several accounts, and it seems like no one has taken the same route, which may explain the variation in ratings from class 3 to 4. It is exposed, with tricky navigation, rather crumbly rock, and exposure.
