I took the wrong way up to this one. I choose to go straight up the pipeline, if I would have been a little more patient there was an old service road that would have been so much easier. I was a great work out for me. Then I continued on to Elephant Rock.

Is there a trail from the peak down to elephant rock?

Yes, it was an access road for the pipeline across the top. It doesn't quite conect to elephant rock trail but very close. Deer trail down about 100 yards.
