"Went for an summer night hike with a couple friends. Left the car at the cell tower and started hiking at 9:50pm. Summited at 10:30 and spent an hour at the top, enjoying the view and the sunset. Came down at 11:30pm as it was now cold and windy. Back at the vehicle for midnight. " — PabloBruneau • Jun 8, 2021
"Went for a quick easy hike since there was rain in the forecast, but sunny for the time being. Took a while to find the right approach, but was glad to find the trail on the southwest side of the hill. Took only 20 minutes at a quick pace to reach the summit with rewarding views of Fish Lake and Whitehorse. Definitely worth it. " — PabloBruneau • Jun 5, 2021
"Decided to do something quick and easy today. Started hiking at 4:30pm, and summitted at 5:55pm. Spent a bit of time enjoying the view from the summit, then headed back down. Tried taking a shorter route back down but ended up in occasional waist deep snow. Altogether a beautiful day. Well worth it!" — PabloBruneau • May 10, 2021
"345AM start, hiked to top of ridge in the dark, very steep but beauty hike. Even in the dark you could see Kathleen lake glowing. Rain picked up at summit ridge and had to turn around. Clouds covered summit. 4 hour trek. Did not summit :( I'll be back!" — cmeaghanevelyn • Aug 16, 2019
"After crossing the stream (we ended up just taking off our shoes and crossing; it's very narrow and shallow water), we bushwacked a ways which lead us to the first steep scramble (foreshadowing?!) up to the exploration road. From here, walked until we got to the first fork in the road (about 2.5 km), and veered straight up from here. There is no path once you leave the road, it's a free scramble up. I recommend hugging the ridge, but it's all tricky the entire way up. Once you hit the sea of boulders, it doesn't end until the summit. It's a good 2-2.5 scramble up the ridge, prepare to sweat!
The views from the summit are jaw-dropping. Easily one of my favourite summits in the Yukon thus far. After a couple summit beers, we decided to cut to cut time by surface the very steep face of the mountain. I don't recommend doing this, it's landslide pathway. Be careful!
Beauty day, 30 degree sunshine.
