"Hiked up from the Grand-Etang side. It was a steep climb. Took about 2.5 h round trip. Hurricane Matthew kind of made a bit of a river on the trail. The summit was in the clouds and we could not see anything. Although the view is usually gorgeous https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-70n2rw3Ngk " — kurtstewart • Oct 10, 2016
"My two sons and I drove from Highway 104, turned up Big Baddeck Rd. and drove all the way to the end (there is signage that stats Bald Mountain 9km). Its old roads that are converted into snow mobile trails. " — happyhiker • Jul 30, 2015
"Parked on the side of the road, well off the road. A long, steady climb up the trail to the top, Anne was with me (she took the photo of me). The trail is approximately 3.2 kilometres (2 mi) (return) in length and is mostly a steady upward climb, rising over 350 metres (1,150 ft) to the peak of Wilkie Sugar Loaf Mountain. The trail had recently been cleaned up the the Hike The Highlands group so was easy to follow to the Southeast Look Off at the top of Wilkie Sugar Loaf. The North Look Off required a bit of bushwacking to find but the view north to Bay St. Lawrence and the Cabot Strait was great. I wrote a Wikipedia article with photos about the trail here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilkie_Sugar_Loaf_trail" — kenheaton • Aug 31, 2014
