"Ski tour. I followed , more or less , summer trail to North Molar Pass. I had broken trail for the first 6 km of the trail, trail breaking another 6. Sticky snow in places . I left my skis and boot packed 300 m or so, vertical to the summit. Ridge was wind blown, very little or no snow. Great weather, fantastic views, moderate windy at the top. On my way down I noticed group of 4 skiers coming to the pass from the other side. I met them at the pass, they were on their day 4 , doing Drummond glacier traverse. Summit register shows this easy peak is quite busy in the summer but not in the winter. I think it’s good winter objective too in stable conditions. Some overhead avi danger on the way to the pass. One short traverse of avalanche slope , maybe 80 m long just below the col. But it’s relatively safer than many other objectives of this height in the area. " — Pawel G • Apr 13, 2024
"I was planning to hike Hailstone ridge, but didn't realize the road was closed. But I saw this ridge and went for it. I highly recommend this hike if you want to take in a sunrise. It took about thirty minutes to get to the ridge from the road." — AaronKauffman48 • Apr 10, 2024
"This snowshoe route is great if you enjoy suffering. On return I tried dropping down off the ridge to try the road that was on the map and to avoid going up hill along the ridge. Bad choice just more suffering and it probably took longer it was horrible side hilling covered with slash from logging." — Randy • Apr 10, 2024
"Ski tour. Due to good snow cover made it to around 2700 m on skis than boot pack to to summit. Great weather and views. Met Scott at the summit , very nice and fit athlete who made the summit at the same time like myself, despite starting 2 hours later from the parking lot! Despite careful skiing upper slope towards the col I hit the rocks quite a few times. Honestly I didn’t even expect that slope can be skied. It was a bonus but I shouldn’t bring my brand new ski setup for this trip for sure! Skiing the gully from the col to the creek was excellent though." — Pawel G • Mar 30, 2024
"Less than ideal conditions. Being familiar with the traverse as well as the blue markers helped with the poor visibility. Ice axe and crampons were necessary for the hard packed steep icy slopes. The vertical chain was totally buried. I had to dig around with the ice axe to find and dig it up. I would not of found it if I hadn't known it was there. First time checking out the new trail." — Randy • Mar 28, 2024
