"I was acting as a client on the Aspirant Guides' Winter climbing assessment based at Glenmore Lodge. With aspirant guide Steve Monks and Winky O' Neil. From Coire Cas skiing area car park to slopes of Fiacaill Coire an t-Sneachda for ice axe arrest practise followed by climbing Fiacaill Ridge moving together. This was a grade I/II Winter climb. Then to Stob Coire an t-Sneachda, Fiacaill a' Choire Chais and back to the car park. Weather moderate with some mist. A lot of snow." — peter43 • Feb 11, 1987
"Cairngorm Club meet. From the car park at the bottom of the Cairngorm chair lift. I went via Fiacaill Coire an t-Sneachda and Fiacaill Ridge to Cairn Lochan, Carn Etchachan, and the N and main tops of Beinn Macduibh. I went on to Stob Coire Sputan Dearg and Creagan a’ Choire Etchachan. I went out to Sgurr an Lochan Uaine and back, passing to the south of Creagan a’ Choire Etchachan, and a little to the west of Stob Coire Sputan Dearg to reach Carn a’ Mhaim. I continued to Luibeg Bridge and Derry Lodge to reach Linn of Dee. Misty from time to time." — peter43 • Sep 11, 1982
