"From the top of the chair lift to Cnap Coire na Spreidhe and round the southern slopes of Cairngorm, finally descending via Fiacaille a’ Coire Cas. About 6 ½ hours. 4 in party (3 candidates + Glen Mor Lodge Instructor). Very cold, icy, windy and misty. It was mostly a navigation exercise, taking it in turns to navigate. It was part of the training for the Scottish Mountain Leadership Training Board Winter award based at Glen Mor Lodge." — peter43 • Mar 22, 1989
"I was acting as a client on the Aspirant Guides' Winter climbing assessment based at Glenmore Lodge. With aspirant guide Steve Monks and Winky O' Neille. From Coire Cas skiing area car park to Coire an t-Sneachda. Steve leading. We started up Aladdin's Mirror then a route between Aladdin's Mirror and Aladdin's Mirror Direct (Grade IV Winter climb). We crossed Aladdin's Mirror and up a gully/chimney above, ending on a promontory to the west of Aladdin's Couloir, which we reached at 18:30 (Grade III Winter climb). The descent was via Stob Coire an t-Sneachda and Fiacaill a' Choire Chais. This climb was very hard. A beautiful day." — peter43 • Feb 12, 1987
