"We started from the entrance of Windsor Nature Park and hiked into MacRitchie Nature Reserve to the TreeTop Walk. After crossing the suspension bridge, we hiked our way into Rifle Range Nature Park to the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve entrance, then hiked up to Bukit Timah summit. It was a hot/humid but perfectly partly cloudy day, and we saw more monkeys than people hiking these trails. Also saw a monitor lizard digging up worms and eating them, which was cool. Had a great time hiking these tranquil trails and left feeling recharged for a night out in Singapore." — jodola • Sep 21, 2023
"We had Sunday free in Singapore and decided to conquer the "roof of Singapore" :P
Followed the very popular caves loop to the summit loop and back down the road to the summit loop. A sea of people, but fun little hike." — jak5280 • Mar 19, 2023
"Up via South View path, Cave path and the summit steps
Down via Rengas path, Seraya, Jungle Falls path and the summit road
Bonus sidetrack from the visitor centre to see the Hindhede quarry lake which had lots of birdwatchers with expensive camera equipment. Start/finish point Beauty World MRT station exit B" — davidb • Dec 28, 2019
"Take a Downtown line train to Beauty World MRT station and come out of exit B (signs for bus stop 1). Proceed straight ahead up Cheong Chin Nam road, past a line of local bars and restaurants to a pedestrian bridge over a dual carriageway, by the Perce school. Go over this bridge then up Hindhede Drive to the nature reserve entrance (free) and visitor centre which has a nice 3D model of the area The trails are all well marked with rain shelters and map boards dotted around so explore as you wish. Water can be topped up using drinking water fountains by the visitor centre toilets. The paths are all good so trainers are fine for footwear.
The simplest summit route goes up a short steep tarmac road then a flight of steep steps. But the shaded side trails through the forest are much more interesting so instead I’d recommend going via South View path, Cave path (war time tunnels), Catchment Path then Summit Steps. From the summit you can go back down the main road or up the exercise value by adding in the Rengas Path, Dairy Farm Loop and Jungle Fall Path. The are no views at the top but I did see monkeys in the forest. The racket made by the cicadas is impressive too.
By doing ALL..." — davidb • Mar 29, 2019
