Six more winter Wainwrights done today! Cloudy and a stiff cold wind as far as High Seat, then the sun appeared. Ground still fairly firm after a week of frost and snow, so feet remained dry again. Accompanied by Susan and Peg the dog." — johnandsue4fun • Jan 21, 2023
"Out with the explorers on their diamond expedition but walking the route in reverse to meet them on the way. Set off from Ashness Bridge area up to Watendlath. Route was to High Tove, Armboth Fell back to High Tove, High Seat Bleaberry Fell, Walla Crag and back to Ashness. Took the youngest kid with me as the eldest was in the expedition. It was a long day but nice to tick off several Wainwrights in a day " — charliegill • Aug 31, 2022
"A brighter day, but v wet underfoot after several days of rain. Started from Keswick, walked up past Walla Crag and then a further 1.4miles over Low Moss and up a good path to the summit. Strong winds, so took shelter in the summit cairn for a snack. Then headed S for 1.5 miles across waterlogged ground and rocky outcrops to the summit of High Seat 1995m. After a short stop we descended 2miles to Ashness Bridge, then 3.5 miles back to Keswick on the Derwent Water shore path" — davidlong • Oct 25, 2017
