"One has to look carefully for the trail. The trailhead is marked only by some small square hiker symbol signs, one each 20 feet or so on either side of the trailhead. It starts from M-64 north of US 2, about two miles south of Lake Gogebic State Park. There are some wooden stairs made of rairoad ties at the start, though they have fallen out of position and aren't all helpful. The trail is narrow but easily followed. It has a lot of tree roots in the first half. There aren't many views going up, but the top has a wonderful view east to and across Lake Gogebic. Even though the trail is largely dirt, it wasn't impassably muddy even after rain earlier in the day. It was a high reward for a relatively short hike. " — Badgerinmaine • Jul 26, 2018
